Journey to a Quilt

I used one of Robert Kaufman's fat quarter bundles. I cut them into strips and then also used white stripes cut from some yardage I had.
After making my blocks and attempting to square them up, I cut them way too small so instead of putting the blocks together, I sashed in between them...

This is just a pic of the binding....this quilt was made for my Auntie whose birthday is St. Patrick's Day so I put a little shamrock fabric in the binding...


I quilted lines in between the sashing and then did a X in the middle of each block. I also tied a button in the middle of all the white blocks...



Here is a pic of my Auntie holding up her quilt last night at her surprise party!!
